Dr. Saad Saad Leads in Compassion Medical Practice and Inventions

Dr. Saad Saad is a Palestinian born medical surgeon who has overcome the odds to become one of the most celebrated and talented pediatric surgeons in America and the world have seen in the recent day. He was born in Jerusalem, moved to the West Bank and later forced to settle in Kuwait where he grew. He took his residence in Britain and later settled in the US where he was registered by the Medical Practitioners Board and licensed to practice general and pediatric surgery. Dr. Saad has been involved in medical research in a bid to try and improve surgical outcomes and enhance service delivery by surgeons. Consequently, he has been successful in developing several procedures that are already in use in various hospitals across the globe. Dr. Saad has also patented two surgical inventions.

Dr. Saad and His Career Ventures

Dr. Saad Saad has been practicing for over 40 years. He is reported to have performed complicated surgical procedures on patients in his community and outside. He is said to have helped a lot of children and budding adults in his country of origin in the city of Jerusalem. He has organized over eight medical missions in Jerusalem and the West Bank where he has personally and practically taken part in conducting surgeries on needy children who urgently needed complex surgeries to improve their living conditions or save them from the possibility of dying altogether. He has conducted many free complex surgeries on children who could not afford such treatment. He holds patents on two medical inventions that have revolutionized the way surgical processes are conducted.

The Electromagnetic Location Identification Catheter with Patent Number 5, 727, 553

In simple terms, medical catheters are tubes that are used during surgical processes to either drain liquids or gases from specific points or just to help to improve some medical conditions. They may also help the surgeon to access medical instruments in the course of surgery. Some catheters are inserted permanently into the patient’s body while others are temporary. The idea behind the invention by Dr. Saad is to help the surgeon to locate the catheter position in the patient’s body with ease. In previous practice, a patient had to undergo an X-ray to help to identify where the catheter is located. Apart from the fact that too many X rays can be harmful to the patient, Dr. Saad’s invention helps surgeons to work with precision and efficiency. An MRI could also be used but the machines are too big and rare. So they could not be relied on in remote places and in medium size medical facilities; as they are too expensive to be afforded by a good number of such outlets.

Apparatus and Methods for Suction and irrigation in Rigid Endoscope…. Patent No. 5, 725, 478

The second patented invention has to do with improving endoscopes. Endoscopes are devices used to look into the body of patients during surgery or examination. They can be used to examine the throat, windpipe, the colon, and the bladder. They can help doctors to learn the status of a patient’s body without performing a surgery. The patent eliminates the fogging effect of liquids during endoscope examinations. Learn more: https://www.crunchbase.com/person/saad-saad
